Load a clip to begin.

1 · Draw & Track

Pause on a frame where the face is clear, then draw around it.
Box — drag a rectangle. Pen — click points, click the first again to close. Esc cancels.
Tracks forwards and backwards from that frame.

The face must be visible at all times. If it turns away, gets covered, or leaves the frame, the track will fail — there is no way around that. Use a clip, or a section of one, where the face stays in view throughout.

Zooms in and keeps your subject centred. Edges are clamped, so no black borders.

Smoothing

Keyframe every N frames

Lower follows exactly. Higher looks smoother.
1 — a keyframe every frame. Tightest, but snappy and a wall of keyframes to edit.
3 — the default. Smoother move, and keyframes you can actually grab.
Accuracy is the same either way.

3 · Export

Then, in Premiere Pro:

Click your clip in the timeline to select it
Open Window → UXP Plugins → FaceTrack Studio
Click Load .ftrk file… and choose the file you just saved
Click Apply to selected clip

The keyframes land on the clip's own Motion effect and stay fully editable in Effect Controls. Haven't installed the panel yet? Two-minute setup →
